Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma (SMBBIT) Karachi has announced multiple job vacancies for qualified and experienced candidates in different medical and administrative fields. Available Vacancies Details
1. Senior Manager Nursing
Candidates must have MScN or MBA in Health Management or Hospital Management with a total of 15 years of nursing experience in any reputable hospital. At least 3 years of experience at manager or head level is required. Valid PNC registration is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates having training and development experience. Age limit is 45 years.
2. Resident Medical Officer ICU Anaesthesia
Applicants must hold MBBS degree with completed house job and training of FCPS, MCPS, or DA in Anesthesia. Valid PMDC registration is required. Age limit is 45 years.
3. Senior Medical Officer Thoracic Surgery
Candidates must have MBBS degree with house job and 2 years of experience in Thoracic Surgery or General Surgery. Valid PMDC registration is compulsory. Age limit is 45 years.
4. Resident Medical Officer Orthopaedic
Applicants must have MBBS degree with completed house job and FCPS training in Orthopedic Surgery. Valid PMDC registration is required. Age limit is 35 years.
5. Medical Officer Thoracic Surgery
Candidates must have MBBS with house job and either 1 year of General Surgery experience or 3 months of Thoracic Surgery house job experience. Valid PMDC registration is required. Age limit is 35 years.
6. Medical Officer Vascular Surgery
Applicants must have MBBS with house job and 1 year of experience in General Surgery. Preference will be given to candidates with Vascular Surgery experience. Alternatively, candidates with 3 months of Vascular Surgery house job experience can also apply. PMDC registration is required. Age limit is 35 years.
7. Medical Officer ER
Candidates must have MBBS with house job. Preference will be given to those having experience in a reputable hospital. PMDC registration is required. Age limit is 35 years.
8. Pharmacist
Applicants must have Pharm-D degree with 2 years of relevant experience in a reputable hospital. Valid registration with Pharmacy Council is required. Age limit is 35 years.
9. Account Officer
Candidates must have Master degree in Finance or Economics with 3 years of experience in finance department of any tertiary care hospital. Age limit is 40 years.
10. Accounts Assistant
Applicants must have Bachelor degree with 3 years of relevant experience in any tertiary care hospital. Preference will be given to candidates having Accounts or Finance diploma or certification. Age limit is 35 years.
11. Security Supervisor
Retired military or paramilitary personnel with 3 years of relevant experience in any reputable organization can apply. Preference will be given to candidates having hospital experience. Age limit is 45 years.
12. CSSD Technician
Candidates must have Diploma of CSSD Technician with 2 years of experience in any reputable hospital. Alternatively, Diploma of OT Technician with 2 years post qualification experience in CSSD is also acceptable. Age limit is 35 years.
Domicile Requirement
All positions require Sindh domicile.
Important Instructions

All positions are purely on contract basis for a period of 2 years, which may be extended based on satisfactory performance. Candidates already working in government service are not eligible to apply. Only post qualification experience will be considered.
No TA or DA will be provided for test or interview. Selected candidates will receive salary according to Trauma Pay Scale. These jobs are not for regularization and the decision of the competent authority will be final.
